What's in the name of new media? New media is what we can call as the convergence of people all over the world. Some people state that they no longer keen of using printed or written form, whereas more to the digital media.
Alright, that's all about the G's of it, let's continue to the topic today. The topic of the day is about something that has been used and already been in the site for a quite some time. It's is about the one and only Youtube. Youtube has been a sensation for fairly all kind of ages to find some new talent or even some information visually. Here you can almost everything. From tutorials to scouting up new talents, to comedy etc. Ask anyone, they would know what Youtube is and some even go for it on daily basis.
The best thing about this is that you cannot post anything explicit to it. Contents are filtered, hence there's no over-rated obscenity videos that can be found there.
Sure, sometimes some people just don't seem to understand the rules & regulations of it, but after all, who reads it anyway? However, when these sort of videos are uploaded, after few reports, it will be checked and if it's found to be inappropriate, it will be deleted straight away.
However, there's downside of everything & Youtube has it too. This is because Youtube enables any sharing of videos and this will lead to plagiarism. Because of the videos are easily downloaded, hence it can be copied into hard drive and then be sold to the public. In addition, it can also brings chaos when people upload videos on sensitive issues such as racial, religious wise etc.
In conclusion, no matter how wonderful new media can be, it has it's own downside too, hence, people should know how to use it fairly. Here I include a racist remark of Asian from an American girl that is hated by everyone now. It is funny in a way, but given her remarks on Asian, it was quite inappropriate.
